A Blessed Weekend

This weekend met every expectation I could have ever had. This past Sunday we had Max and Elizabeth baptised.

For the weekend we had my parents, sister and brother up. It was the first time my sister had met her new niece and nephew, the second for my brother and parents. It was AWESOME.

On Saturday Jason, Kym and I went shopping for an outfit to wear the next day. We went bumming around Sheboygan while the kiddos stayed behind with daddy and the grandparents. It felt like old times, minus the fighting between Kym and I. It brought back some great memories and made me wish for some of those days again. With Kym living in Texas, me in Wisconsin and Jason in Minnesota we don't get to just "hang" like that very often. It was truly memoriable.

Sunday was the "big" day. Besides the twins baptism at church we also congratulated our graduates and sent off our kids on their mission to Kentucky. It was a long service, but really neat. The baptism took place first, then the graduates. They managed to tie the sacrament of baptism into the graduate recognition by giving them laundry bags for college and comparing them to the waters used for their baptism. It was really touching. Neither Max or Lizzy cried while getting baptized and the day was just really special for both of them. We had a great time celebrating with our family and friends.

Finally, Auntie Kym took some pictures of the kids and our family while visiting. Because it rained on Saturday, we had to do these pictures on Sunday. As always, she got some good ones. Pictures that really represent our dynamics. It really hit home to Bruce and I how big our family has gotten. It is truly a gift an we thank God each and every day for trusting us with these beautiful children he so graciously gave us.
